CAMILLE LAPOINTE-LYONS.

Camille LaPointe-Lyons has a long career in art education, freelance illustration and as a consultant to art material manufacturers (which include Sennelier and Fabriano).

PUBLICATIONS

Her work has been represented through American Artist Magazine. She has authored an online article in American Artist Magazine, answering artist’s questions on proper methods to correct a majority of two dimensional art materials problems.

EDUCATION

Her formal education began by earning a BFA from California College of the Arts in Drawing and Printmaking; A Secondary Teaching Credential from California State University, Hayward in Art Education; Post-Graduate Studies: University of Valencia Spain (oil painting), Dominican University (humanities/world culture), San Jose State University (art education). 

She presented workshops for artists, during 2005 - 2014, in pastels, watercolor and acrylics, nationwide and in France. She has exhibited paintings annually at the Academy of Art University since 2005, in the Annual Faculty Show. And was a consultant for the book, "Sennelier, L'Artisan des Couleurs: A History in Color."

Since 2004, Camille has been teaching at the Academy of Art University in the Fine Art and Illustration Departments, which she adds, provides her strongest joy and her greatest sense of fulfillment.
